
The Quality Assurance Manager has the authority, responsibility, and the organizational freedom to identify quality control problems, to initiate, recommend, provide solutions, and implement this program without overriding from any other department manager without full consent of the Company President. Any problems that cannot be resolved shall be brought to the attention of the Company President. Our Quality Assurance Program is third party audited by ITS, Intertech Testing Services, on a semi-annual basis, and meets the ANSI Z34.1 requirements. Quality Assurance Manuals are availible upon request Manitowoc Lifts is a member of the Automotive Lift Institute (A.L.I.), a trade association of lift manufacturers and distributors, who have developed automotive lift standards since 1947. Our lifts are designed and tested to comply with the latest american national standard for automotive lifts - safety requirements for the construction, testing, and validation. (ANSI/ALI ALCTV-1998) Our quality assurance program is a planned and written system of policies and procedures, similar to I.S.O. 9000, that assure consistent and continuing conformance to this national standard. The quality program is implemented by the quality assurance manager. The system of policies and procedures is outlined in the quality
manual and includes the following: A semi-annual factory survey is done to certify continued implementation and conformance of our quality system and automotive lifts to the ANSI/ALI ALCTV-1998 standard. Surveys are conducted by Intertek Testing Services (I.T.S.), a national accredited test laboratory designated by the standards sponsor for third party inspection of compliance to the standard.
